Industries

Every industry has its own weak spots

The services are the same. What changes is which problem would hurt you most. That is where we start.

Each one below shows the problems we find most often, and which of our services fix them.

A note on these. They describe the security problems common to each industry and how our services apply. They are not claims that Audemus has already worked in those industries. Real examples will be added once we can name them.

Offices and Commercial Buildings

The usual problems. Shared entrances, lots of visitors, and contractors coming and going every week. The usual problem is old passes: people who left, or never worked here, can still open doors.

How we help. Door access with a proper process for cancelling passes, visitor sign-in linked to reception, a full site check, and keeping building systems off the main office network.

Banks and Financial Services

The usual problems. Branches, cash, strict rules from regulators, and real concern for staff safety. Both building and computer security get examined closely after any incident.

How we help. Branch security standards and checks, detailed risk assessments for cash sites, security testing, compliance help, and cameras with records good enough for an investigation.

Factories and Industrial Sites

The usual problems. Long fences, lorries coming in and out, shift workers, and production that cannot stop. Factory machinery is also increasingly connected to the office network.

How we help. Fence and gate protection, vehicle and goods control, checks on how factory and office networks are kept apart, and planning for disruption.

Data Centres

The usual problems. Customers and auditors want proof, not promises. Layered entry control and complete records of who went where are the minimum expected.

How we help. Layered door access that stops people following each other in, high-quality cameras with long storage, formal risk assessments, and checks on the systems running inside.

Shops and Shopping Centres

The usual problems. Open to the public by design, with theft to prevent and crowds to keep safe. Security has to stay discreet enough not to put customers off.

How we help. Theft prevention surveys, cameras placed where losses actually happen, crowd and emergency planning, and the same standard across every branch.

Hotels

The usual problems. Guests expect easy access. Staff areas, key control and incident response still have to work, without the guest ever noticing.

How we help. Guest and staff area access, key and pass control, emergency and evacuation plans, and cameras placed with guest privacy in mind.

Hospitals and Clinics

The usual problems. Open to the public by necessity, with restricted areas, lone staff, vulnerable patients and highly private records in the same building.

How we help. Access control for restricted areas, protection for lone workers, lockdown plans, cameras and intercoms in sensitive areas, and checks on systems holding patient data.

Schools, Colleges and Universities

The usual problems. Campuses built to be open, with a duty to protect young people, students living on site, and sometimes research that needs protecting too.

How we help. Campus security review, door access for halls and labs, emergency and lockdown procedures, and checks on student and research systems.

Warehouses and Transport

The usual problems. Valuable goods moving at all hours, long perimeters, drivers and contractors on site, and customers who demand proof the chain is secure.

How we help. Perimeter and yard protection, loading bay and driver access control, goods handling procedures, and camera coverage set up for investigations.

Utilities and Critical Infrastructure

The usual problems. Strict legal requirements, remote or very large sites, and consequences of failure that reach far beyond your own business.

How we help. Formal risk assessments against the rules you must meet, layered perimeter detection, checks on how control systems and office networks are separated, and incident practice sessions.

Everyone

Three problems we find almost everywhere

Old passes still work

Passes are handed out carefully and cancelled carelessly. After a few years, nobody can say for sure who can get in.

Cameras on the office network

Installed by one team onto a network run by another, with no separation and the factory password still set.

Maintenance stopped

Systems set up properly, then forgotten. Broken cameras and full storage are discovered only when footage is needed.
